Send your item list for an assembly price
Send each item's name or model number and the room it goes in. A photo of the boxes works too. We reply with a price for the whole lot.
Anchoring tall furniture to the wall
Dressers, bookcases and wardrobes can tip forward when a drawer is pulled out or a child climbs the shelves. Most flat-pack furniture comes with an anti-tip kit for exactly this reason, and it often ends up unused in the bottom of the box.
We fix that kit into a stud, or use the right anchor for the wall when there is no stud in the spot. If you have young children in the home, anchoring is the part of the job that matters most, and we recommend it for every tall or top-heavy piece, including in a nursery.
If the kit is missing, tell us when you book. The fasteners depend on the wall: wood studs, drywall, plaster or concrete in a condo.

A bed frame being assembled in a basement bedroom
A real job: a dark wood bed frame mid-assembly in a basement bedroom, drill and hardware on the floor. Beds get built in the room they will stay in, because a finished frame often will not fit through a basement door or around a stair landing.
IKEA furniture assembly and other flat-pack
IKEA pieces are among the most common jobs, and the large wardrobe systems are the ones people most often hand off: they are heavy, need two people to stand upright, and the doors take patience to align. Other flat-pack brands from online retailers follow the same idea, with instruction quality that varies a lot.
Leave the boxes sealed until we arrive if you can. Opened boxes are where hardware bags go missing. Clear floor space in the room the piece belongs in, roughly the footprint of the furniture plus room to lay panels flat.

Your questions, answered
Before you book
Do you assemble IKEA furniture?
Yes, including the large wardrobe systems, beds, desks and shelving. Send the product names and we price the job.
Is furniture assembly included when you move me?
Yes. Disassembly and reassembly of the furniture we move is included in every moving package at no extra charge. New furniture you have just bought is priced separately.
Will you anchor my dresser or bookcase to the wall?
Yes, and we recommend it for any tall or top-heavy piece, especially in homes with children. We use the anti-tip kit that came with the furniture, fixed into a stud or the right anchor for your wall.
Do you take the packaging away?
Ask when you book. Flat-pack cardboard adds up quickly; if there is a lot of it, it can go out with a junk removal pickup.
Can you assemble a crib?
Yes. Cribs are built to the manufacturer's instructions with every fastener checked. Have the instructions and all hardware bags with the box.
What if a part is missing or broken?
We check the parts before we start. If something is missing, we build what we can and you order the replacement from the retailer.
