Small-town streets and rural properties
Most people in Halton Hills live in Georgetown, with Acton the second centre further west. Georgetown has everything from century homes near the old downtown to 1970s backsplits and newer subdivisions on its edges. Acton is smaller and older in feel, and because it sits beyond Georgetown, a move there should allow for extra drive time on top of the figure above.
The hamlets need more planning. Glen Williams has narrow, winding roads in the Credit River valley. Limehouse, Ballinafad, Stewarttown and Norval have houses set well back from the road, sometimes with a long gravel lane, a soft shoulder, or a bridge with a weight limit to check.

How far is Georgetown from Oakville?
Central Oakville to the Halton Hills civic centre is 28.2 km, about 31 minutes without traffic by Trafalgar Road or by Highway 407 and Winston Churchill. Acton is further west, so plan for a longer drive there.
Can your truck get up a long gravel driveway?
Often, but it depends on the lane, the season and the turning room. Send a photo when you ask for a quote and we will tell you whether the truck can reach the house or whether we should park at the road.
Will you move things from a barn or workshop?
Tell us what is in there. Furniture, boxes and household tools are part of a normal load; anything unusual, very heavy or hazardous should be listed up front so we can confirm before move day.
