A checklist to agree before the visit
| Area | Discuss in the quote | Have ready |
|---|---|---|
| Rooms and hallways | Accessible surfaces, trim and settled dust | Clear access and a list of affected areas |
| Kitchen | Worktops, cabinet fronts and requested interiors | Empty cupboards and finish-care instructions |
| Bathrooms | Fixtures, tiles and accessible surfaces | Details of new finishes and any curing restrictions |
| Floors | Surface type, dust and specific residue | Installer instructions and an unobstructed route |
| Windows | Interior glass, tracks and reachable sections | Access details and a list of required panes |
| Remaining materials | What must be removed before cleaning | A separate plan for offcuts, containers and debris |
This is a scope-planning checklist. It is not a promise that every residue, surface or disposal task is included.
Book after the work that creates dust is finished
Tell us when sanding, cutting, painting and installation will be complete. If trades are still working through the rooms, the newly cleaned surfaces may need another visit. Share the contractor’s expected finish date and leave room to adjust the appointment if the handover changes.
For an occupied renovation, identify the rooms still in use and the paths contractors used. Keep children, pets and belongings away from the agreed work area during the visit. We need to know what can be moved, what must stay and whether the home will be empty when the team arrives.
For a condo in Oakville, confirm contractor access hours, parking and any building instructions that also apply to the cleaning team. For a detached home or townhouse, explain where supplies can be brought in and which entrance is available. Access, power and water arrangements should be settled before the appointment.
Show us the finished work
Send photos of every affected room, the property size, your Oakville postal code and the planned handover date. We will confirm the cleaning scope and price before you reserve.
Construction waste and specialist cleanup need a separate conversation
Do not treat post-construction cleaning as an unlimited debris-removal service. Tell us about leftover boards, offcuts, packaging and heavy materials so we can explain what needs clearing before the clean. Junk removal is a separate service with its own accepted items and quote; construction materials must not be assumed to qualify.
Flag unknown dust, suspected hazardous materials, mould, chemical spills or sharp debris before any visit. These are outside an ordinary cleaning scope and may require a specialist assessment. Hazardous-material remediation is not part of a routine cleaning visit.
New finishes can also need time before they are ready to be cleaned. Obtain care and curing instructions from the installer. Include them with your request, especially for fresh grout, sealed surfaces and flooring. A stubborn mark is not a reason to apply a stronger product without checking that it is suitable.
What determines the price
A useful estimate starts with the affected area, number of rooms and level of cleanup, not just the property’s bedroom count. Photographs should show both the overall rooms and close-ups of residue that may need attention. Include high or difficult-to-reach areas so their treatment can be agreed separately.
Before booking, confirm the task list, exclusions, equipment and supplies, taxes and how a changed scope would be handled. If a second visit is needed after more building work, agree on that separately. Your quote will reflect the actual rooms, surfaces and cleanup required.
If you are moving in after the renovation, arrange the clean before the main furniture delivery where possible. Coordinate the final trade visit, cleaning access and move date so that one appointment does not undo or block the next.
Your questions, answered
Before you book
Do you offer post-renovation cleaning in Oakville?
Yes. Share the renovation type, rooms affected and current photos. We confirm which cleaning tasks can be included, what needs clearing first and the quote before booking.
How much does post-construction cleaning cost?
It is quoted for the area, surface types, residue, access and agreed tasks. Send photos and the property details for a written scope and price before booking.
Is removing building debris included?
Do not assume it is. List any remaining materials and waste separately. The team will clarify what must be removed first and whether a separate removal service is appropriate for the accepted items.
Can you clean while contractors are still working?
Share the work schedule before booking. Dust-producing work can soil finished areas again, so it is better to agree on the cleaning stage and timing with the contractor. Any repeat visit needs a separate agreement.
Are paint, grout and adhesive residues included?
Send close-up photos and the surface manufacturer’s care instructions. Their treatment must be assessed and agreed first. We do not promise that every mark can be removed safely from every finish.
Is this the same as deep cleaning?
No. Deep cleaning addresses built-up household dirt. A construction or renovation clean needs details of the work, new finishes and remaining materials. Describe the actual job so the quote uses the correct scope.
