Booking a handyman? Send these details with your task list.
Curtains, smart blinds, dash cams or furniture assembly: a few photos and product details help the team quote the right work before you book.

At a glance
Your quick checklist
- Task list with quantities
- Photos and product model numbers
- Vehicle details for dash cams and trackers
- Scope, materials and price confirmed before booking
Make one list, room by room
Write down each job and how many items need attention. Three curtain rods is clearer than curtains throughout the house. Add TV mounting, furniture assembly or a small repair as separate tasks. Mark the jobs that need finishing before you move in, and which can wait. The team can then confirm the scope and availability for your whole list.
For curtains and smart blinds, show the window
Send a photo of the full window and the mounting area, along with the product link or model number. Say whether you already own the curtains, rods, tracks or blinds. For smart blinds, include the motor, remote or hub details. Ask the team to confirm compatibility and what hardware is needed before you buy anything else.
For dash cams and trackers, include the vehicle
Share the vehicle make, model and year, plus the camera or tracker model. Say whether you already have the equipment and whether an existing device needs removing. Tell the team what you want the installation to achieve. Installation requirements vary by vehicle and product, so ask for confirmation of the exact work and price before arranging a visit.
Agree on the price and what to have ready
Ask which materials and hardware are included, what you need to supply and whether any work needs a separate specialist. Handyman jobs are quoted separately from the published hourly moving packages. Keep the agreed task list and quote together. Confirm access, parking and the preferred date, then clear a working area around each item before the team arrives.
